Relationships[edit | edit source]
Augustus Waters[edit | edit source]
There are very few scenes in which both Mr. Waters and Augustus are together, but as far as descriptions go they get along very well and he cares deeply for his son. He is proud of Augustus's skills on the basketball court but Gus secretly hates it and wants to tell this to his father without hurting his feelings.
Mrs. Waters[edit | edit source]
Throughout the book, Mr and Mrs. Waters were not shown together but they seem to love each other as much as the rest of their family.
Hazel Grace Lancaster[edit | edit source]
Mr. Waters loved Hazel throught the entire book and at the end saying, "... his dad put an arm around me and kissed the side of my head and whispered, "I thank God for you every day, kid."" Which shows that even if she wasnt his daughter he cared for her deply too.
